ACEP – Associação de Colégios Evangélicos em Potugal (Association of Evangelical Schools in Portugal)
In a Portuguese Evangelical Christian School, the national program is usually taught, but with the addition of the subject of the Bible. There will also be a weekly chapel, devotional time before class starts and teachers would be free to talk about God at any time, even during the teaching of subjects like History, Mathematics or Science. In this first initial step, the school will be open for children from Kindergarden (4 and 5 years) up to 4th year elementary school.

Corner Stone Academy(English speaking school) is located at Quinta da Estrangeira na parte velha de Rio de Mouro. The two schools will share this property at least during the first year. The Portuguese department will have three rooms to open in September. One room for 4 and 5 year old kindergarten, the second room is for 1st and 2nd year elementary school students, and the final room is for 3rd and 4th year elementary school students. The next year, a 5th year class and, if possible, a 6th year class will also be added.
Costs are 200.00€ monthly for pre-school and 250.00€ monthly for kindergarden. Anually, there will be an enrollment fee
It has been established that, for this Portuguese department to open in September, there will be required for there to be at least 30 students, for its first year, with an average of 10 students per room. ACEP - Associação de Colégios Evangélicos em Portugal(Association of Evangelical Schools in Portugal) is a sub-organization of the Fundação Lusófona de Ensino Cristão - Habilitação e Auxílio (Lusophane Foundation of Christian Education - Empowerment and Assistance), which exists to enable and assist existing Christian schools (like School João Ferreira de Almeida in Lisbon) or schools that may come to surge, which is something we wish to happen all across our country (autonomous regions like Azores and Madeira included) and across the African Countries that have Portuguese as their Official Language (PALOP).
ACEP and CSA - CornerStone Academy, plan to open a new school in Portugal, in September 2010. This school will teach the regular Portuguese program, but with the addition of a Bible class each day. The classes are small, the whole environment will be very familiar, loving, and respectful towards everyone. Teachers will be evangelical Christian men and women, but we will accept students of any and all types.
