About us - Our History Print

The Evangelic Baptist Church of Parede emerged from a missionary vision of the First Baptist Church of Lisbon, led by the then Pastor Paulo Torres which, in 1961, initiates reunions on a care home in Sassoeiros, a local town. This group would later be led by the American missionary Samuel Faircloth, and with him, move to Parede. There, the group would come to organize itself as the Evangelic Baptist Church of Parede on the 14th of March, 1063, with an initial total of 11 members.

Throughout its history, it originated the baptists churches of Tires, Oeiras, Cascais, Santo António do Cavaleiros, Vida Nova em Outeiro de Polima and Estoril.
